前幾篇寫到眼都矇，這一篇講輕鬆的題目。
2013年聖誕皆好友驅車來回10小時摘車厘子，寫了一篇叫
櫻桃摘趣。2014年聖誕就無再去了，一來老友忙碌，二來車厘子好平，從日本回來個幾月，買了不少於25kg來吃。車厘子是聖誕前個多月上市，新南威爾斯出產的，吃到聖誕就斷市，因為天氣太熱，已過造了。初上市10元8塊1kg，細粒不在話下，也不夠甜。趨近聖誕就越來越甜和大粒，10元8塊的已屬頂級。昨天去市場，車厘子供應少了很多，但也買了兩盒，每盒5kg，$32一盒。一盒自用，一盒替朋友買。我這老友很好，我買甚麽，他吃甚麽，我也買了一箱奇異果和一tray芒果，都分給他。到了這時候，車厘子已經來自別的省份，昨日買的來自維多利亞省，又大又甜，有相為證。

這車厘子，港幣計算是$19一磅，香港我想要$40、50。碟中的士多啤梨來自自家後園，無心栽種的。兩年前這士多啤梨自己長出來的，可能我用洗士多啤梨的水來淋花所致。兩年後，士多啤梨就越來越茂盛，今天就摘了兩粒。又有相為證。

士多啤梨大造的文，這兩種抗氧化的水果，難得便宜。跟朋友分的半箱芒果，每個有350克重(12安士)，才$5就有9個，在超市$5只有兩個，也有相片。

Strawberries are out of seasons now in NSW. That is why the ones I picked are small especially when they grow by themselves without human intervention. Cherries are really big.
回覆刪除As a mango lover, I prefer R2E2 though I would not turn away Kensington Pride. But, 9 for $5 is terrific value. Where did you get it from? I wish the deal is also available in WA. Kind regards.

刪除Thank you. I presume you bought it from a stall or a local store rather than from a national chain store like Woolie or Coles? In that case, We will just have to continue paying a high price for mangoes.
回覆刪除Oh yes. I almost never buy fruits from the big supermarkets which rip off the farmers and customers. I buy fruits from the weekend market with a lot of fruit and veggie stores.
回覆刪除I suppose NSW has a much bigger population/market to support individual stores. We do have some individual supermarkets run by Asians selling groceries at a lower price but not necessarily of comparable quality. We have a Canning Vale weekend market that sells fruits/vegies in bulk at a much lower price. But unless you have a reasonably large family or people who are happy to share, it would be hard for us (only 2) to consume stuff in time. Well, perhaps we should consider moving to Sydney if we can afford the property prices there. Kind regards.
回覆刪除What I normally do is whenever I see something cheap and nice, I will just buy a whole box, for instance a box of 10kg tomatoes which costs $10. I will then give to friends. I have got three people at home but I buy a lot of fruits.
